The polyphenols of pomegranate juice are excellent for keeping the cardiovascular system and prostate healthy, and for protecting the cells.

Not everyone can ingest the available polyphenols optimally, because the bio-availability depends on the capacity for metabolism of the individual intestinal flora (Cerda et al., 2004). The fermentation with living microorganisms (live fermentation) improves the bioavailability akin to a natural pre-digestion. This natural process is a European patent of Dr. L.M. Jacob (Ph.D. /M.D.).

Fermentation processes:
• Predigest the phytochemicals in pomegranate juice
• Increases the bioactivity of the pomegranate polyphenols
• Almost completely metabolize the natural sugars of the fruit (low in sugar)

The freeze-drying maintains the freshness of the phytochemicals. Under decreased pressure water is removed at low temperatures. From this process results a powder with a large surface area and an optimal solubility. This is of great help for the absorption process, as only substances which are properly liquefied are properly absorbed and metabolised.
